Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen's self-help book, 'The Aladdin Factor', has landed at No. 20 on our list of the Top 100 self-help books of all time.
Based on the parable of Aladdin, “The Aladdin Factor” argues that we shouldn’t ask a genie for the things we want in life; we should ask the universe. Five things, the authors say, stand in the way of asking for what we want: 1) Ignorance; 2) We have limiting beliefs; 3) We’re afraid to ask for what we want; 4) We have low self-esteem; 5) We’re too proud to ask. When we clear these hurdles, we’re finally able to ask for the help we need to get where we’re going. The thesis, of course, is that no ones gets where they’re going on their own.
